Truckee Art M.A.R.T. (Mutual Aid Resource Trade) is a free art supply project aimed at providing new or gently used arts and crafts materials to folks who would otherwise not have the disposable income to acquire them. The project was started in 2023, and serves the mountain town community of Truckee, California.

The Free Art Supply Pantry is a community space focused on recycling and redistributing gently used art supplies in the spirit of mutual aid. The pantry is a volunteer operated program, within the Third Space Art Collective 501(c)(3) nonprofit, located by the east end of the UC Davis Arboretum. We are open regularly to anyone who wants to access gently used and new art supplies at no cost.

Artists from marginalized communities cannot begin to be represented in the art world without radical change. We hold monthly crafting events or free art supply swaps. Art Pocket is radical, political, and not your kids’ new craft club. Art Pocket is about supporting knowledgable local artists and building community based on their needs.
